A Heartfelt Thank You for an Incredible School Year

Category: District

Dear Students, Staff and Families,

As the school year comes to an end, I want to take a moment to reflect on the last ten months. There’s so much to be proud of. It’s been a year filled with great learning, growth and many memorable moments. It’s been wonderful to see students excelling academically, on the sports field and stage, and contributing to society through acts of kindness and environmental stewardship.

To our dedicated staff, I gratefully acknowledge your commitment to students’ education and well-being which has been unwavering yet again. I know that every day you are working to create an environment where our vision of being an innovative, inclusive community where all learners belong, and everyone soars can come to life. Your efforts to inspire and nurture thriving, future-ready learners are making a difference, so thank you.

As always at this time of year, we bid farewell to a number of staff who are retiring or moving on to other adventures. Thank you for your hard work and commitment in educating and supporting students.

To our Trustees, thank you for your leadership and ongoing dedication to our students, staff, and community.

To students, your eagerness to learn, to challenge your abilities and to give back to your communities make us proud. You have consistently gone above and beyond, and your many successes are well-deserved.  To this year’s graduates, congratulations and all the best in your future pursuits.

And to families, your support and collaboration have been instrumental in creating a strong and vibrant school community. Please never underestimate your involvement in your child’s education, whether it’s through attending events, volunteering or encouraging learning at home. It’s invaluable.

As we look forward to the next school year, I am filled with optimism and excitement for what we will achieve together.

I wish you a wonderful summer and look forward to seeing you in September ready to embrace the challenges and opportunities of a new school year.

Warm regards,

Doug Sheppard
