After-School Band Program for Grades 6/7
Did you know Delta School District offers an after-school Band Program for students in Grades 6/7? Although it’s intended for students who don’t have a band program at their school, any Grade 6 or 7 student is welcome*, and no prior band experience is required!
Students can attend the location that best meets their schedule, regardless of their catchment area:
- South Delta Secondary
Mondays 3:30-5pm starting October 6
Method book: Essential Elements for Band (Book 1) - Sands Secondary
Wednesdays 3:30-5pm starting October 8
Method book: Essential Elements for Band (Book 1) - Delta Secondary
Wednesdays 3:30-5pm starting October 8
Method book: Essential Elements for Band (Book 1) - Seaquam Secondary
Wednesdays 3:45-5:15pm starting October 8

Click here to register your child for the 2025/2026 After School Band Program We encourage you to register as soon as possible as the sessions start in early October.
Families are responsible for instrument rental (for example through music suppliers such as Tapestry Music, Tom Lee Music or Long and McQuade), and for purchasing the required method book, but there are no other costs to attend. The sessions take place weekly until May.
The after-school Band program embodies the district’s vision and mission by providing students with opportunities to explore their passions and feel deeply connected to their school community.
