This year marked the 25 Annual Thanks For Giving food drive at Delview Secondary.
25,000 Cans. 700+ Volunteers. One Night.
The annual food drive, one of the largest in B.C., has been responsible for the collection of over 300,000 non-perishable food items over the years, with all of the donations going to the Surrey Food Bank and Deltassist.
Each year Delview staff, students, and parents all gather together for one night to give back to our community in a big way. And this year was no exception.
Delview set an ambitious goal of collecting 25,000 food items in honour of the event’s 25th year. At the end of the night, an impressive 26,411 items were tallied, surpassing their goal and setting a new record for the event.
Food Bank Gets Giant Donation From Delta Students
The Surrey Food Bank is about to get a giant donation from the community of Delta — all thanks to students from a local school!
