Game of Apps

Category: DistrictSchool

For grade 10 -12 students that are interested in learning more about mobile app development, Game of Apps is offering  a 24-week online program taught by industry professionals. Last year students from Sands, Delview and North Delta participated, with the Sands/Delview team making it to the finals with their app – Vapeless – intended to help teens control their addition to vaping.

Students will meet online weekly where they will receive training on designing, developing, and building a mobile app as a final product.  GoAs is for all students, not just those with an interest in technology. The program will run like a cohort where members in your own school will form a development team. Teams collaboratively develop a final app and compete against other high schools in BC.

Registration costs for the entire 24-week program is $450. If you’re looking for more information please visit gameofapps.org, to register for one of the parent/student online info sessions on Sept 29, or October 7 under updates.
