International Day of Persons with Disabilities is a United Nations’ Day that is celebrated every year on December 3. The day is about promoting the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities at every level of society and development, and to raise awareness of the situation of persons with disabilities in all aspects of political, social, economic, and cultural life.

The Delta School District is committed to ensuring that every individual has full access to our programs and services. An important part of this work is to ensure that students, staff, and community members with disabilities have a voice in identifying, removing, and preventing barriers in our district learning environments, workplaces, or school communities.
