Kudos to our Grade 7 learners at Neilson Grove Elementary School in Ladner. As part of their recognition of Remembrance Day this year, they set up learning stations in the gym on different aspects of Remembrance Day including Sadako’s 1000 Cranes, the Last Post, Indigenous Veterans Day, and wrote holiday postcards to send to sailors and soldiers stationed overseas. Throughout the day on Wednesday, November 10, they invited classes to come into the gym for presentations on each of the stations.
“The learning event was a huge success with the younger students thrilled to be learning from the ‘big buddies’, and we expect to make this a new tradition at Neilson Grove moving forward,” said Principal Danica Palmer.
