Sands Secondary Celebrates the Homecoming of Fast Eddy

Eddy (Fast Eddy) Dostaler ran across Canada and back, completely alone and unsupported – 21,000 kilometres! He began his journey on March 1, 2015 in Victoria, BC, and will ended his run there on October 29, 2016. Eddy ran with the idea that “average people can do above average things,” raising funds in support of Alzheimer’s and Cancer research.

Students of Sands Secondary threw him the homecoming he deserves – a special assembly, slide show and party – to show Fast Eddy that he has succeeded in inspiring others!

They also held fundraising activities (like taping teachers to the cafeteria wall!) and raised $476.35 for both the causes.
