Seaquam Secondary Track and Field
Construction of the new track and field facilities began on Monday, June 23 and will continue into fall, during which time the track and field will remain closed to the public. The track is expected to be open for use later in the fall, before closing again in spring 2026 to enable installation of the synthetic running surface. The grass infield will remain closed until September 2026 to enable the grass time to establish a strong root system. For more information, please visit: https://letstalk.delta.ca/seaquamtrack
South Delta Secondary Track and Field
Repair work on the track and infield at the SDSS Oval will start on Wednesday, June 25. From now until September 2025, both the track and the field at SDSS will be closed to complete the repairs and upgrades, with the inner field remaining closed into 2026 to allow the grass to properly seed and grow.
We are excited to improve the quality of our fields for our Physical Education and Athletics programs and would like to thank the City of Delta and the Province for making these upgrades a reality.
