STUDENT AWARDS
Background
The District believes that student achievement is worthy of recognition, and therefore approves of individuals, businesses and organizations to present students with gifts, scholarships, money, plaques, medals, etc. in recognition of exemplary achievement. Student awards will be presented on an annual basis to ensure that student achievement is recognized.
Procedures
1. The District encourages presentations that recognize achievement in areas such as academics, good citizenship, athletics, effort and attitude.
2. The Principal, in consultation with staff, will develop criteria and procedures to govern student awards and inform the Superintendent.
