Summer Learning 2022

Registration will be open April 6th

Online registration for current Delta Students and out of district students

**REGISTRATION IS NOT AVAILABLE AT THE SUMMER SCHOOL LOCATIONS**

International students must register using the paper registration

Grades 10-12 Full Credit Academic Courses:  

  • July 4 – August 4th
  • 8:30am – 12:00pm and/or 12:30pm – 4:00pm
  • North Delta Secondary and Delta Secondary (Ladner)

Grades 8 and 9 Skill-building: Math, English, Social Studies and Science

  • Students who did not successfully complete the course
  • July 11 – July 29th
  • 8:30am – 11:10am
  • North Delta Secondary and Delta Secondary (Ladner)

Grades 1-7 English Language Learners: Focus on literacy and numeracy

  • Session 1 – July 4th – July 15th
  • Session 2 – July 18th – July 29th
  • 9:00am – 1:00pm
  • McCloskey Elementary (North Delta)

Grades 8 – 12 English Language Learners:

  • Delta students: July 4th – 21st
  • 9:00am – 12:00 noon
  • Burnsview Secondary (North Delta)

Summer learning programmes move at an accelerated pace, attendance in these programmes is mandatory.  Accommodations for planned absences cannot be made.

Summer School is provided free of charge to students who normally reside in British Columbia. International students are charged a fee at registration.

Grade 8 and 9 Skill Building

3 Week Skill-Building Grades 8-9

This program is available to students to meet the requirement for the Grade 8 & 9 courses listed below.  Please see information below.

Skill-building courses are available to students that have been enrolled in a course(s) during the regular 2021/2022 academic year and have not successfully met the requirements of the course.  Students must have completed the course with a final mark between 40-49%.  Any student that has withdrawn from the academic course is ineligible for admission into that course in Skill-building summer learning. Courses available are Math 8/9, English 8/9, Socials 8/9 and Science 8/9.

ELL Grades 1-7 Summer School

2 Week ELL Summer School Grades 1-7

An innovative and enriching program for elementary and high school students, the 2 Week ELL summer school program will provide students with the opportunity to improve writing, reading, vocabulary, and discussion skills. These are educational programs taught by experienced ELL teachers.
All programs are Monday to Friday.

An innovative and enriching program for students, the 3 Week Enrichment summer school program will provide ELL students with the opportunity to improve writing, reading, vocabulary, and discussion skills.
