The Delta Board of Education meets formally once a month as our designated means of transacting Board business.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made some changes to the way we hold board meetings to ensure physical distancing protocols can be followed. Until further notice, board trustees will hold board meetings via conference call, rather than in-person and without the public in attendance. A full transcript of the board meeting will be made available for the public on the Delta School District website within 24 hours of the meeting.
- The agenda for each board meeting will be posted (see below) on the Friday immediately preceding each board meeting.
- As always, a question period of no more than 30 minutes will be provided at the end of each board meeting.
- Members of the public are encouraged to submit questions via email to firstname.lastname@example.org by the Sunday immediately preceding a board meeting (with the exception of public input on the draft budget which is required to be sent by email to email@example.com by end of day Thursday, April 16).
The purpose of the question period is to ensure that the public has an opportunity to ask questions relating to an agenda topic and/or to obtain clarification concerning any business conducted during the previous board meeting. As we believe in the importance of communicating with the public, all members of the community are encouraged to submit questions.
If you or your group would like to make a presentation to the Board, please contact Tracey Nelson-Trick at 604-952-5340 or email firstname.lastname@example.org A written submission would be preferred at this time, however, if you would like to present in another way, we are happy to discuss alternative arrangements.
The Delta School Board wishes to extend its appreciation to all members of the SD37 community who are interested in Board meeting proceedings despite the COVID-19 pandemic. We look forward to the time when we can all meet together in person again.
Regular meetings will be held in July or August at the call of the board chair for emergency business only.
