Courses are for any person in need of upgrading their skills in English and Math. We also offer beginner Computer Classes.

Courses

English Foundations

All Adult English Foundations courses work toward student mastery of skills and understanding of English Language Arts.

Courses

  • English Foundations Level 1 through Level 7
  • These classes build on each other, with the highest level being preparation for the English 11 high school course or Communications 12 course.
  • Students can come in at any level

Math Foundations

Teacher instruction and support is provided in a multi-level setting, with students working individually or in small groups.

Courses

  • Math Foundations Level 4 through Level 7
  • These classes build on each other, with the highest level being preparation for the Math 11 high school course.

Info Tech Foundations

  • An introduction to computer skills, keyboarding, MS Word and Excel. The course also includes internet skills and email basics.
Registration

Our Adult Foundations courses are tuition-free. Resource fee is $25.

High school students are NOT eligible for Adult Foundations courses.

Registration Fees
All Canadian and Permanent Resident students residing in British Columbia can take tuition free academic courses as part of the Ministry of Education’s Education Guarantee. Both graduate and non-graduate students can take advantage of this opportunity to improve their education. A $25.00 materials fee will be required.

Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents: $25.00 Materials Fee

International Students
: Visitors taking Adult Foundations courses $600.00 per term (ask us for information about reasonable international student medical insurance).

Documentation
Students must show proof of status in Canada and proof of residency in British Columbia. Students under 19 years of age must also provide parent proof of status in Canada and residency in British Columbia.

When you come in for an appointment, please bring the following:

  • Proof of Canadian Status (i.e., Canadian Birth certificate, Canadian Citizenship Card, Certificate of Indian Status, Permanent Resident Card, Refugee status document or one-year Work Permit)
  • Proof of Residency in BC (i.e., BC Driver’s License, BC ID or BC Care Card)
  • Picture ID

Assessment by Appointment Only

If you require an assessment of your English or Math skills, or information on your path to graduation, please contact our office to arrange an appointment. We offer both daytime and evening booked appointments.

An assessment fee of $30 applies. We accept cash, Visa, VisaDebit, MasterCard, American Express, and cheques. We do not accept Debit Cards.
