StrongStarts provide free early learning programs for children from birth to Kindergarten entry.
Parents/caregivers attend with their children.
StrongStarts are led by Early Childhood Educators who support children with their learning and share ideas, resources, and community services with families.
StrongStart centres offer programming most days that elementary schools are open with a few additional closure days. See below for StrongStart calendar dates:
StrongStart centres are currently offering in-person programming with reduced room capacities to allow for physical distancing. Families select days to attend by advance booking only. Below you will find the details of our current COVID procedures.
New families can contact a centre directly and find a time for them to attend for the first time. Current StrongStart families can request a time by following the method outlined below for each centre.
In addition to in-person programming we are also offering weekly Zoom sessions and outdoor sessions. These are drop-in sessions with no capacity limits. No advance registration is required.

StrongStart Outdoor Sessions
Wednesday mornings at various outdoor locations we’re offering outdoor opportunities around Delta for families to experience outdoor learning.
At StrongStart, parents and caregivers will have opportunities to observe and participate in activities that assist early learning, and discover new ways to support your children’s learning at home. You can also meet other parents of young children. A nutritious snack is provided to the children daily.
During program times you may also meet visitors from other Delta agencies such as:
Boys & Girls Clubs: Family Resource Navigator
