Communities Come Together for National Aboriginal Day

June 21st was National Aboriginal Day. This week we will be posting stories each day to celebrate the diverse cultures and histories of our local First Nations communities.

Communities Come Together for National Aboriginal Day

Each year on National Aboriginal Day, Trout Lake community, in Vancouver, hosts a full day event that showcases and celebrates the diversity of Aboriginal people from across Canada. First Nations, Métis and Inuit people gather to share their spirit, experiences, stories, songs, art and dance with each other and the general community.

Everybody is welcome!

The day was filled with events, food, entertainment, and celebration.
