Seaquam Students Looking to Earth’s Future

Congratulations to Seaquam Secondary students Caleb Burda, Isaiah Gill and Adieel Hewage Don whose video Earth’s future placed second in the YRE Canada Competition (Videos 15-18 category) and was a finalist in the YRE Global competition. Their video was also chosen by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) to be showcased at the Freeway environmental film festival in the fall of 2022.

Another video entry ‘Biodiversity: Threat of Extinction’, by Seaquam student Oshmin Kaur, placed first in the Videos 11-14 category in the YRE Canada competition. Congratulations!

Young Reporters for the Environment (YRE) is an award-winning program coordinated by Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). The program empowers young people to take an educated stand on environmental issues they feel strongly about and gives them a platform to articulate these issues through the media of writing, photography or video. YRE is active in 45 countries and engages more than 360,000 young reporters.
