Cultural Diversity Support Services

Delta School District Mission: To inspire and nurture thriving, future-ready learners.

Delta School District Vision: An innovative, inclusive community where all learners belong and everyone soars.

Delta’s schools are as culturally and linguistically diverse as the community of Delta itself. This Diversity contributes much to the community and our schools.  Recognizing diversity and taking it seriously means that it is also incumbent upon schools to “strive to ensure that differences among learners do not impede their participation in school, their mastery of learning outcomes, or their ability to become contributing members of society” (Diversity Framework).

In addition to the full range of supports and services available to all students in Delta, the Delta School District also offers three additional services addressing cultural and linguistic diversity in particular.

  • English Language Learning supports and services
  • Multicultural Workers
  • Settlement Workers in Schools
