StrongStarts provide free early learning programs for children from birth to Kindergarten entry.
Parents/caregivers attend with their children.
StrongStarts are led by Early Childhood Educators who support children with their learning and share ideas, resources, and community services with families.
StrongStart centres offer programming most days that elementary schools are open with a few additional closure days. See below for StrongStart calendar dates:
Current Year StrongStart Calendar
New families are welcome to drop in to any program to check it out. The best time to come for the first time is in the first hour when most programs have open play time. No registration or advance booking is required before visiting.
Spring 2023 StrongStart Outdoor Calendar
All StrongStart families are invited to join our outdoor StrongStart every Friday from now till June 23, 2023. Note that for the rest of this school year the StrongStart centre at Port Guichon will be closed on Fridays so that we can offer this outdoor program.

At StrongStart, parents and caregivers will have opportunities to observe and participate in activities that assist early learning, and discover new ways to support your children’s learning at home. You can also meet other parents of young children. A nutritious snack is provided to the children daily.
